London comes alive at the end of the year and enters a cozy, quiet period during February. A time for relaxation, the city slows down allowing you to take in the sights without the hassle of long queues or high price tags.

The world of live entertainment never sleeps, however, with some of the city's best - and most romantic - shows playing through the month. Here are some shows to watch out for in London this February.

Let the sparks from in London this February

Mamma Mia!

The tunes of ABBA pair perfectly with this classic musical that features a whodunnit mystery where the mystery is Sophie's quest to find her real father in the lead-up to her magical wedding. A jolly good time and earworms for days, this is an absolute must-watch show playing at the Novello Theatre during February in London.

London shows premiering in February 2025

The Last Laugh

Following a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Film Festival, The Last Laugh makes its way to the Noël Coward Theatre, with its opening date set for February 25, 2025. The play reimagines the lives of three of Britain's greatest comedic heroes Tommy Cooper, Eric Morecambe, and Bob Monkhouse, played by three of its current comedic geniuses Damian Williams, Bob Golding, and Simon Cartwright respectively. Guaranteed to be a riot, this show is bound to bring some much-needed cheer to London's winter season.

The Score

Opening February 20, 2025, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, The Score brings the maestro Johann Sebastian Bach to the stage once more in a brilliant turn from Succession's Brian Cox. The Olivier-winning actor stars opposite his real-life wife Nicole Ansari-Cox who portrays Anna Bach. With writer Trevor Nunn and director Oliver Cotton at the helm, this production takes audiences back to the spring of 1747, when the deeply religious and divinely inspired Bach faced off against the atheist monarch Frederick the Great of Prussia.

Peter Andre: The Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Australian heartthrob Peter Andre rings in over half a century of classic bops with a one-night show on February 16, 2025, at the Dominion Theatre. The Mysterious Girl singer is all set to get the crowds on their feet with performances of the greatest hits from the catalog of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.

Mary, Queen of Scots

Opening February 15, 2025, Mary, Queen of Scots makes a rare appearance with a production at the London Coliseum. One of four operas by Librettist Thea Musgrave that are based on historical figures, this opera in particular traces the history of the Queen of Scotland as she navigates political turmoil and dangerous adversaries. Despite acclaim, this show isn't often performed, and will play in London for only two nights.

Clueless The Musical

This iconic adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma had audiences hooked when it premiered first as a movie in 1995 and later as a musical in 2018. The show now makes its way to Trafalgar Theatre, opening on February 15, 2025. We once again follow Beverly Hills High’s Queen Bee, Cher Horowitz, the resident fashionista and matchmaker who sets her sights on her latest project: local newbie Tai. But Cher is about to learn a valuable lesson about meddling in matters of the heart. Featuring an original score by KT Tunstall, this musical is the perfect way to spend a February night in the city of London.

The Marriage of Figaro

Composed just five years before his passing, Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro is a brilliantly funny opera that pairs the maestro's signature sound with mistaken identities, clever schemes, and gags for days. Opening on February 05, 2025, and playing for a limited run at the London Coliseum, this production is an excellent subversion of what one expects from an opera.

Why Am I So Single

Who among us hasn't wondered this very thing at some point? Deeply relatable and wildly funny, this musical follows two perpetually single friends dealing with creative blocks, bolstered by doom-scrolling and the exhausting hunt for love in a modern app-fuelled era. Having played to success since its opening in August 2024 at the Garrick Theatre, Why Am I So Single is set to close on February 13, 2025.

The The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - The Musical

The award-winning adaptation of the 2008 film reimagines the story of a man who lives his life in reverse, experiences the highs and lows life has to offer from a different perspective, and years for human connection often denied to him. A coming-of-age story like no other, this version features Celtic-inspired music that brings the scenery of a quaint Cornish village to life. The musical plays its final show at the Ambassadors Theatre on February 15, 2025.

Mrs. Doubtfire

A musical adaptation of the iconic 1993 hit film starring Robin Williams, Mrs. Doubtfire is a heartwarming tale of a man on a mission to win back the love and respect of his family, albeit through just a bit of deceit to a hilarious end. Currently playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, the production is set to close on February 16, 2025.

Peter Andre: The Best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

The one-night-only musical extravaganza featuring the music of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons will take place on February 16, 2025, at the Dominion Theatre. Australian icon and singer of hits like Mysterious Girl Peter Andre will have you on your feet in no time with a performance of the group's greatest hits alongside some of his own popular classics.

Mary, Queen of Scots

Rarely performed yet widely acclaimed, Mary, Queen of Scots will play at the London Coliseum for two nights only, with its closing show on February 18, 2025. A brilliant opera from Librettist Thea Musgrave, the show follows the Queen of Scotland as shewards off those vying for her throne.

The Marriage of Figaro

One of Mozart's most brilliant operas, The Marriage of Figaro is a side-splitting comedic tale of misunderstandings, concocted schemes, and lessons in getting more than you bargained for. Playing for a limited run at the London Coliseum, the production closes on February 22, 2025.
