Harold was an American director of musical theatre who delivered hugely successful musicals including West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, Sweeney Todd, and Phantom of the Opera. Prince started out his career as an assistant stage manager, and rose to fame after co-producing and directing numerous theatrical performances. Prince also served two years in the American Army. In his lifetime, he accumulated 21 Tony Awards for his work on Broadway. Prince also has a documentary that was shot on his life, titled Harold Prince: The Director's Life. Prince passed away at the age of 91 in Iceland.
