Neal Foster, the manager of The Birmingham Stage Company, adapted the play for the stage and directed it. He has previously adapted Walliams' Gangsta Granny and Billionaire Boy, both of which received nominations for Olivier Awards. Jackie Trousdale is the designer, and Jason Taylor is in charge of the lighting. Jak Poore composed the show's music. Nick Sagar is in charge of sound design. Nia Evans is in charge of the costumes, and Paul Chantry and Rae Piper of Chantry Dance are responsible for the choreography. Adrian Littlejohns is the production manager, and Kay Magson handles casting.

Storyline

Strange things are happening in the town where Alfie lives. When kids put their teeth beneath their pillows for her to find, the tooth fairy usually leaves them shiny coins. But something is not right! Suddenly, they discover the most awful things when they awaken instead of the expected reward. Alfie is steadfast in his resolve to solve this horrible puzzle with the aid of his buddy Gabz. Their quest to find out answers takes them to the demon dentist. Beautiful auditorium. Great sound. The only toilets were upstairs in the circle and so everyone from the stalls traipsed upstairs while audience from the circle tried to leave. Really unsafe. Lack of snacks.
