Inspired by the photos of Paris shot in the 1930s by Bassai, La bohéme is back in the ENO 2021 Season with a stunning musical score. This is one of the most popular operas of all time where the characters of Mimi and Rodolfo fight against all odds for their love to flourish. A classic production by Jonathan Miller, La Boheme is back at the London Coliseum Theatre and is currently running for a limited time this autumn.

In La bohéme, the story revolves around four bohemians – a painter, a poet, a musician, and a philosopher who live together in Paris. Their lives are changed forever when one freezing Christmas Eve, a girl named Mimi shows up at their door. It is love at first sight for Mimi and Rodolfo but their lives become darker when it becomes ill that Mimi is seriously ill.
Unable to provide for her due to his poverty, the four bohemians try to find a way to save Mimi. However, they are soon faced with the harsh reality of life, leaving you to wonder whether their love can survive the harsh winter season.
