London's West End will welcome a new star to its stage as model and actor Cara Delevingne prepares to make her theatrical debut in the multi-award-winning revival of Cabaret as Sally Bowles. Joining her in this iconic production is Luke Treadaway, who will take on the role of the Emcee. The duo will step into the shoes of Rebecca Lucy Taylor (Self Esteem) and Jake Shears in Rebecca Frecknall's intimate production.
The Playhouse Theatre or London's Kit Kat Club, transformed by designer Tom Scutt into Berlin's passionate Kit Kat Club, will host Delevingne and Treadaway's performances. Treadaway, a graduate of the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (Lamda), brings a wealth of theatrical experience, having participated in productions such as Saint Joan and War Horse at the National Theatre. He earned an Olivier award in 2013 for his role in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
The ensemble will also feature Michael Ahomka-Lindsay as Clifford Bradshaw, Beverley Klein as Fraulein Schneider, and Teddy Kempner as Herr Schultz. Kander and Ebb's classic production is currently scheduled until February 2025. Meanwhile, Eddie Redmayne, who initially led the cast alongside Jessie Buckley in the West End revival, is set to reprise his role on Broadway in April, opposite Gayle Rankin as Sally.
