James Graham's Dear England will premiere at the Prince Edward Theatre on 9 October 2023. It is scheduled for a limited run from 19 October 2023 to 13 January 2024.
Joseph Fiennes (Othello, Shakespeare in Love, The Handmaid's Tale) plays the role of Gareth Southgate. The rest of the stellar cast includes Josh Barrow as Jordan Pickford, Gunnar Cauthery as Gary Lineker, Gina McKee (My Policeman, Bodyguard) as Pippa Grange, Will Close as Harry Kane, Crystal Condie as Alex Scott, Will Fletcher as Jordan Henderson, Sean Gilder as Sam Allardyce, Darragh Hand as Marcus Rashford, John Hodgkinson as Greg Clarke, Adam Hugill as Harry Maguire, Albert Magashi as Jadon Sancho, Kel Matsena as Raheem Sterling, Abdul Sessay as Bukayo Saka, Lewis Shepherd as Dele Alli, Paul Thornley as Mike Webster, Tony Turner as Greg Dyke, and Ryan Whittle as Eric Dier.
Nick Barclay, Tashinga Bepete, Will Harrison-Wallace, and Miranda Heath round out the cast, with other cast members serving in supporting parts.
The production, which is directed by Rupert Goold (Spring Awakening), includes set and costume designs by Es Devlin, video design by Ash J. Woodward, lighting design by Jon Clark, dance direction by Ellen Kane and Hannes Langolf, and sound design by Dan Balfour and Tom Gibbons. Bryony Jarvis-Taylor handles casting, and Richard Ryder handles accent coaching.
