Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream: Watch theatre stars battle it out for the roles of Sophie and Sky

ITV has announced the schedule for its upcoming TV competition, Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream. With eight episodes, the reality TV show will provide a glimpse into the search for two actors to play the roles of Sophie and Sky in the West End production of Mamma Mia! Like the musical, the series will be filmed on picturesque Greek islands and end with a live grand finale broadcast from a West End theatre.

The show's first episode will air on 22 October at 6 PM on ITV1, ITVX, and STV. Over the next few months, viewers can expect a series of exclusive behind-the-scenes features that delve into the workings of the show.

Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream boasts of a stellar panel ensuring a riveting competition. 

• Samantha Barks: Theatre star known for her work in Frozen The Musical at the West End
• Amber Riley: Olivier-winning TV & stage sensation known for her roles in Glee, The Wiz, and Dreamgirls
• Alan Carr: Comedic genius and multi-award winner who is also a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race UK
• Jessie Ware: Talented singer-songwriter and podcast host of the show Table Manners

Adding an extra layer of expertise to the show, Mamma Mia!'s creator and global producer, Judy Craymer, will join as a mentor to provide valuable insights to the judging panel.

British television and radio presenter Zoe Ball will be hosting the show.
