In the stage adaptation of the beloved film Mrs. Doubtfire, the talented cast comes together to breathe life into these iconic characters. Gabriel Vick, celebrated for his role in Avenue Q, steps into the shoes of Daniel Hillard, originally portrayed by the legendary Robin Williams. Joining him is an ensemble featuring Laura Tebbutt, known for her performance in School of Rock, as Miranda Hillard, and Carla Dixon-Hernandez, recognized for her role in Matilda the Musical, as Lydia Hillard. The cast also includes Cameron Blakely, known for Newsies, as Frank Hillard, Marcus Collins, noted for Kinky Boots, as Andre, Samuel Edwards, of Anything Goes, as Stuart Dunmire, and Ian Talbot OBE, renowned for his work in Hairspray and as the Director of The Mousetrap, as Mr. Jolly. Completing the cast, Kelly Agbowu, credited for Sylvia, takes on the role of Wanda Sellner.
The extended ensemble encompasses a diverse range of talents, including Nicole Carlisle, Joshua Dever, Joseph Dockree, Rebecca Donnelly, Amy Everett, Maria Garrett, Kiera Haynes, Vicki Lee Taylor, Adam Lyons, Lisa Mathieson, Corey Mitchell, Ellie Mitchell, Matt Overfield, Rhys Owen, Christopher Parkinson, Micha Richardson, Tom Scanlon, Paulo Teixeira, and Samuel Wilson-Freeman. Additionally, the role of Christopher Hillard alternates between Max Bispham, Elliot Mugume, and Frankie Treadaway, while Scarlett Davies, Angelica-Pearl Scott, and Ava Posniak take turns portraying Natalie Hillard.
The enchanting Mrs. Doubtfire musical features music and lyrics created by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick, with a compelling book penned by John O’Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick. At the helm of this production is the renowned director Jerry Zaks, celebrated for his work on Hello Dolly!. Collaborating with Jerry Zaks, the creative team includes the talented Lorin Latarro, known for her work on Waitress, in charge of choreography. The scenic design is skillfully executed by David Korins, famed for his work on Hamilton, while Catherine Zuber, acclaimed for Moulin Rouge! The Musical lends her expertise to costume design. Lighting design is expertly handled by Philip S. Rosenberg, known for his contributions to Pretty Woman The Musical, and the sound design is overseen by Brian Ronan, celebrated for his work on Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. The music is enriched under the supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations of Ethan Popp, recognized for his contributions to Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. David Brian Brown, celebrated for his work on Frozen, takes charge of hair design, and Tommy Kurzman, acclaimed for The King and I, oversees makeup and prosthetics design. The casting is managed by Stuart Burt, renowned for his work on Cabaret, and Verity Naughton serves as the Children’s Casting Director.
