Wyndham's Theatre seating plan

Seating chart for a theater with stalls, royal circle, grand circle, and balcony sections.

Value for money seats

Stalls: Choose seats towards the rear of the stalls.
Royal Circle: Seats in the last few rows offer good value for your money.
Grand Circle: For the most budget-friendly option, consider seats towards the end of the rows.
Balcony: To avoid any potential side view obstruction, it's recommended to choose seats further back and more central within the Balcony, even if the price remains comparable.

Best views of the stage

Stalls: If you prefer the intimacy of the Stalls section for plays, consider the front and centre seats (beyond row 3) – but be mindful of the high stage. Sitting a few rows back ensures a comfortable viewing experience without feeling uncomfortably close to the action.
Royal Circle: For an unobstructed, central view of the entire stage, look no further than the front and centre seats (B-F). The steep rake ensures clear sightlines over patrons in front, allowing you to absorb every detail of the performance.
Grand Circle: Center seats in rows A-C will offer you clear views of the stage.
Balcony: Although not very promising as compared to stalls and circles, you can choose to go with seats in the first two rows.

Sections available in Wyndham's Theatre

Stalls

363 seats
Rows A-P

Wyndham's largest seating area is the Stalls, offering untiered seats in a single block. A gentle incline from row H onwards ensures most seats have a good view of the stage.
However, the front three rows (quite close to the stage) might have sightline limitations depending on the performance.
An aisle separates the last two rows and standing room from the rest of the Stalls.

Royal Circle

173 seats
Rows A-F

The Royal Circle offers a strong contender for the best seats in the house. This elevated section boasts a single block of seating with a fantastic rake, ensuring clear sightlines throughout – even the slight curve in the front rows is negligible.
While the Grand Circle overhang might slightly obstruct the view from row E onwards, the overall experience is excellent.
Keep in mind the Royal Circle boxes on either side are not standout options.

Grand Circle

114 seats
Rows A-D

The Grand Circle, with seats in a single block, offers a panoramic view but comes with trade-offs.
The curving design creates a distant feel and side views from corner seats. While these seats are usable if the stage is clear, legroom is very limited throughout the section.
It might be best to consider other sections for a more comfortable experience.

Balcony

96 seats
Rows A-D

Capping off Wyndham's Theatre is the Balcony, the most budget-friendly section. Divided by a central aisle, it offers four rows, with one standing room.
While the seats provide a decent view, the front row is partially obstructed by a safety rail. Given the Balcony's height, expect a distant perspective of the stage.
This section caters to patrons seeking an affordable way to experience the performance.

Accessible seating in Wyndham's Theatre

Stalls: Entering the Stalls section is straightforward for patrons with varying mobility needs. The main entrance is located within the foyer and requires navigating 21 steps down. However, handrails are conveniently placed on either side of the staircase for added support. An alternative accessible entrance is available on Charing Cross Road. This entrance offers a much easier transition, with only 8 steps down leading directly into the Stalls auditorium. For those seeking additional legroom within the Stalls, Row Q is your best bet.
Royal Circle: Reaching the Royal Circle presents a slightly steeper challenge compared to the Stalls. The main entrance requires traversing 23 steps up from the foyer, with handrails available for assistance. Fortunately, there's a more accessible alternative through the Charing Cross Road entrance. This entrance boasts step-free access via a dedicated lift that leads directly to designated wheelchair spaces within Box A. Additionally, transfer seating options are scattered throughout the Royal Circle for those who require them.
Grand Circle: The Grand Circle, unfortunately, presents a significant accessibility hurdle. Situated a full 40 steps up from the foyer with only handrails for support, this section is not recommended for patrons with limited mobility. The substantial number of stairs makes accessing and navigating the Grand Circle quite challenging.
