Storyline
Marjorie Prime is set in the early days of artificial intelligence when people would act in extreme ways to deal with loss. In Marjorie Prime, people from a far-off future want to bring the dead back to life as copies of themselves that contain bits of information from the past. Marjorie Prime reflects on whether technology might ever replicate any aspect of the human spirit while delving into the depths and complexity of the human psyche. Marjorie is an 85-year-old lady with a tangle of fragmented, dying recollections who is offered comfort in the guise of a stunning new companion who is intended to provide her with the narrative of her life.
