Storyline

The plot is based in the year 2006 and opens in a dismal playground in Glasgow where Kayleigh Grey and Zoe Douglas, two troubled teenage girls, are introduced. The two teenagers flirt, play dares, and fantasize about getting away together to the tiny Isle of Muck.

Miss Hastie is a teacher who, even after being warned to stay away, finds herself lured into the pandemonium-like atmosphere created by the two girls. When Kayleigh's mother, Hazel, attempts to manipulate Miss Hastie, the outcome is considerably different and far worse than anyone could have imagined.

This fascinating new modern play, with a small cast of 6, tackles a person's longing for love and the dramatic forces that lay behind random acts of violence. How much power do we have over who we are and what we become? Is our tomorrow defined by our past? Can we ever erase who we were, put our previous failures behind us, and start over? Or are we bound to be tormented, pursued, and hunted for the rest of our lives? Book your Monster play London tickets now and find yourself drawn in by a fascinating tale of what makes us human and what makes a monster.
