This masterpiece was composed by Benjamin Britten and features a libretto by Montagu Slater. On June 7, 1945, Britten personally conducted its world debut at Sadler's Wells Theatre in London. David Alden, a seasoned ENO associate, is in charge of directing the production, which is overseen by Martyn Brabbins, director of music at ENO. Storyline

Rumours turn into severe mistrust, which prompts accusations. The neighbourhood comes together to fight Grimes, the ultimate outsider, with devastating effects.
