RIDE - A New Musical London tickets are available now! This musical takes to stage at London’s Charing Cross Theatre. Comprising music and lyrics by Jack Williams and Freya Catrin Smith, who also wrote the book. After its premiere at Vault Festival in 2020, RIDE staged two performances at Garrick Theatre in 2021. It was presented as a semi-staged, “public workshop production”, where the cast had the script in their hands! The cast featured Gemma Sutton as Annie and Bronte Barke as Martha, Annie’s Secretary.

As it returns to the West End for its limited run this year, the cast and creatives are yet to be announced. This musical features songs such as Across America, By My Side, Everybody Loves a Lie, the titular Ride, Miles Away from Boston, On Board, Out of Time, Ride the Moment, Stranger, The Charmed Existence of Fred Rose, The Wager, and World’s Greatest Story.

Storyline

A true story, this musical is about a woman with large plans and an even larger imagination. The year is 1895 and Annie Londonberry has just returned to America after successfully becoming the first woman to have cycled around the globe. Being a brave pioneer who wants to pitch her story to the New York World, she joins forces with her secretary Martha Smith. They begin to share Annie’s vision and fantastical adventures. However, not everything is as it seems. The cracks in Annie’s life begin to unfold, leaving her to confront a past she rather leaves unexplored.
