The Time Traveller's Wife musical has a book by Lauren Gunderson, music & lyrics by multi-Grammy Award winners and global music superstars Joss Stone and Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and is directed by Bill Buckhurst. Both David Hunter and Joanna Woodward, who previously portrayed Henry and Clare in Chester, will be returning to their respective roles. A few of David Hunter’s exemplary stage credits include Waitress, Kinky Boots, Once, One Man, Two Guvnors and Songs for a New World. The talented Joanna Woodward recently played Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman: The Musical. Her other notable theatre credits are Zombies: The Musical, Confessions, Mary in The Life, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Fings Ain't Wot They Used T'Be.
Storyline
The musical brings to you a love story set in the future of science fiction. It follows the lives of two people, Clare Abshire, an artist whose life unfolds in a logical progression, and Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels through time. The narrative shifts between Henry and Clare's points of view as they work through the complications of their relationship, with Henry leaving and then reappearing at various moments in their lives.
