Opening on Aug 08, 2025
While most widely known for his tragedies, Shakespeare's comedic sensibilities often get overlooked. In Twelfth Night, however, the playwright's wit shines through in a way that is impossible to ignore. Who better to bring this to life than the Globe, a theater known for staging some of the most inspired versions of the writer's greatest works.
A young maiden named Viola finds herself shipwrecked on the shores of Illyria. Believing her twin, Sebastian, to be dead, she disguises herself as a man named Cesario and finds work as a servant to Duke Orsino. The latter, deeply in love with Olivia, sends "Cesario" to woo her on his behalf. Unfortunately for all parties involved, Olivia falls for "Cesario" all while her own servants plot to have her and Malvolio cross paths, and soon enough, utter chaos erupts.
